I’m sure my readers are all aware I’m always looking for interesting (and non-controversial) subjects for this column. When my son Ryan decided he wanted to see green pastures around the house once again, he began exploring how to do it economically.
The how, was never a question. The how to afford it, was the hangup. The simple answer was to put an electric pump at the ditch and begin pumping water onto the brown hillsides surrounding the houses. Voila: immediate green grass.
