The Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority is back on track after December's Lookout Mountain wildfire halted some of their services. This forced the Incline Railway to temporarily close due to damages. Small brush fire narrowly misses incline railway: minimal damage, railway still set to reopen Monday

The incline reopened in July, but CARTA is still recovering financially. They are waiting to receive the remaining funds from insurers.

Chief of Staff, Scott Wilson, tells Local 3, "CARTA has been working with its insurers to resolve claims. The process is ongoing and normal—there have been no denials, only the standard back-and-forth required to document claims."

Wilson adds CARTA has been approved for $1.4 million in damage claims, and $2 million in business interruption
