TEMPE, Ariz. (KVOA) - Tempe police arrested a Tucson woman on Wednesday morning for a threatening social media post that led to the evacuation of an August Tempe City Council meeting, according to a news release.

Kathleen Tierney was taken into custody by Tempe’s Criminal Apprehension Surveillance Team, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Tierney is charged with one count of Computer Tampering and two counts of Disorderly Conduct.

Her social media post on Aug. 28 caused immediate safety concerns, prompting the cancellation and evacuation of the meeting, including city staff, council members and elected officials.
