PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - A Pike County business that was destroyed by the February flood is leveling up in a new location.

The Gaming Company opened its doors Wednesday, inviting customers to the new and improved storefront on Hambley Boulevard in Pikeville.

The business operated in the city of Coal Run for several years before the July flood wiped out the Weddington Plaza. After months of working, its owners planted the new location in abuilding next to Tudor’s Biscuit World.

“It’s definitely a huge sigh of relief to be on the other side after over seven months,” said Director of Retail Operations, Nathan Varney.

The space has always been a dream of Varney’s, offering a community of niche pop culture, video games, board games, card games, and more.
