Jefferson City has visitors in town from the U.S. Navy submarine that bears its name. Several USS Jefferson City sailors are visiting the capital city all week.

Former crew member Andy Lenart, now a Jefferson City police sergeant, is showing them around town. They plan to make several stops, including to local schools, the Missouri Capitol, the Missouri Supreme Court building, and the local American Legion.

Lenart served as a USS Jefferson City crew member from 1994-1998 when the ship was stationed in San Diego.
