MAINE, USA — Northern Light Health and Anthem remain at an impasse over its contract renewal , with just one week before an Oct. 1 deadline that would shift patients out of network with one of Maine's largest health care systems.

The disagreement stems from stalled negotiations over reimbursement rates and contract terms for the next three years.

Anthem released a statement Wednesday accusing Northern Light of "walking away" from negotiations and "abandoning" their mediation process for a second time in two months.
