Sprout Organics recalls baby food pouches for lead concerns

MONTVALE, NJ (WKOW) -- Sprout Organics is expanding a recall of its baby food pouches because of possible elevated lead levels.

The Food and Drug Administration says the recall affects 3.5 oz pouches of Sprout Organics sweet potato, apple and spinach.

The product was sold across many states, including Wisconsin, at Walgreens, independent stores, and online.

The original recall was for sales between September and December of 2024.

Now, it includes more pouches.

No illnesses have been reported to date and no other Sprout Organics products are impacted by this voluntary recall.
