LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Nebraska Wesleyan held its first ever TEDx event on Wednesday, allowing students and alumni to organize their very own TED Talk on campus featuring local speakers.
The focus of the talks was highlighting the idea that excellence is not achieved alone, but through collaboration with others.
Featured speakers, who are all Wesleyan alumni, included the founders of Rebel Built Leadership, Social Assurance and Class Intercom, and Quantum Workplace, as well as a University of Nebraska-Lincoln professor and an author.
Chance Hergott, one of the former students who put on the event, said he wanted to create a space to share local voices that inspire us to think differently.
