COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is investigating a deadly crash on I-77 in Richland County.
The collision occurred on September 24th, 2025, at 7:11 a.m. on Interstate 77, about 14 miles north of the city of Columbia.
The crash happened when a 1999 Ford Expedition traveling south on I-77 ran off the road to the right and struck a tree near the intersection with Faroe Road.
The driver was the only person in the car and died on scene as a result of their injuries.
The collision remains under investigation by SCHP.
