It’s nerve-wracking to watch people crossing busy Veirs Mill Road just south of University Boulevard in Wheaton, Maryland. The long stretch between two traffic lights means people risk their safety crossing in places where there are no crosswalks.

Jude Tana Eteme says he believes that since so many people cross there, there should be a crosswalk or a traffic signal of some sort.
“I feel like if they just added a crosswalk here, it would make more sense,” he said.
