ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — An incident on a Rockford school bus leaves one mother demanding answers.

Bertha Ceballos says her sixth grade daughter at Galapagos Charter School was bullied and assaulted while riding the bus home from school last Tuesday.

She claims the bus driver didn't do anything to interfere or stop this from happening.

“Galapagos failed my daughter, the driver failed my daughter, and all kids on that bus,” said Ceballos.

It was mid September when Bertha Ceballos said her daughter was being harassed at Galapagos Charter School.

“She had three students that were talking and wanted to jump her, saying bad things and provoking her, and she reported it to her teacher like she was supposed to do,” Ceballos explained.
