Bhubaneswar: A foiled an alleged kidnapping attempt near the Nayapalli flyover in Bhubaneswar by jumping out of a moving auto-rickshaw. The young woman was grievously injured in the incident, police said on Thursday.

As per information, the woman was travelling in an autorickshaw from Acharya Vihar towards Nayapalli on Wednesday evening when the incident took place. ADVERTISEMENT

Instead of taking the service road, the autorickshaw driver suddenly sped up the vehicle over the flyover. When she questioned him, a man travelling in the three-wheeler pressed a cloth over her face and tried to overpower her.
