STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Two of Staten Island’s City Councilmembers want more say in who serves on the borough’s community boards following recent concerns regarding the borough president’s near total control over membership.

The Advance/SILive.com has learned that Councilmembers Frank Morano and David Carr plan to introduce legislation on Thursday that would allow councilmembers to directly appoint up to half the members on their district’s community boards.
