Bengaluru: In a new step that mixes technology with public awareness, a busy traffic spot in Bengaluru—Trinity Circle—now has a digital billboard that shows traffic rule violations connected to vehicles passing by. The billboard works with smart cameras powered by AI.
These cameras can read vehicle number plates from as far as 100 meters away. In about ten seconds, the system checks the vehicle’s details using the national VAHAN database. If there are any unpaid traffic fines, expired Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates, or other issues, they appear right on the screen, according to a report by Moneycontrol.
Aim to make commuters aware
This move isn’t only about getting drivers to pay fines or renew documents. The goal is to make people more aware and responsible on the road. Ga
