ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman from Norcross has pleaded guilty to murder in connection with her 8-year-old daughter’s death in 2021, the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office said on Wednesday.

Brittany Hall, 31, was convicted of felony murder, 11 counts of child cruelty, concealing a death and making false statements. She was sentenced to life in prison.

Brittany and her girlfriend, Celeste Owens, reported Amari Hall missing on Nov. 19, 2021, according to the district attorney’s office.

The couple, who lived with Brittany’s three children in a hotel, said Amari was gone when they woke up, the district attorney’s office said.
