LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Ingham County Health Department is hosting a community event on Thursday aimed at preventing opioid overdoses.
At the event, the health department will distribute free naloxone, also known as Narcan, a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to administer Narcan, and the health department will also provide resources related to opioid recovery.
The event will take place at the Ingham County Health Department’s Human Services Building from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
