Good Morning Britain was interrupted as viewers were issued a live update following a devastating shooting in the United States.

One person was killed and two others were seriously injured after a shooting at a Texas immigration centre operated by US government agency, ICE.

Vice President, J.D. Vance, has since blamed the "radical left" for the incident.

Reporting live from New York, journalist, Richard Gainsford, issued an update on the situation in the United States.

He said: "The President and others saying that they believe that this is another instance of what they categorise as an escalation of politically motivated violence.
