BAY CITY, MI — It’s the last weekend of September, and mid-Michigan communities are hosting events including theatrical performances, film festivals, historical reenactments and haunted attractions.

Hell’s Half Mile
The Hell’s Half Mile Film and Music Festival spans Thursday to Sunday, Sept. 25-28, at venues across Bay City.

‘Xanadu’
Fans of 1980s disco-infused musical fantasies might consider The Flint Community Players stage-performance production of “Xanadu,” which kicks off a two-weekend run this week.
At 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday as well as 2:30 p.m. Sunday, attendees can watch the live-action version of the Olivia Newton-
