The busy transition lanes from the westbound 10 Freeway to the 110 Freeway will be closed for several hours, affecting the Thursday morning commute through downtown Los Angeles.

The solo-vehicle crash was reported on the 10 Freeway just east of the 110 Freeway just after 2:45 a.m.

The car slammed into the impact attenuators, sending sand across the lanes, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said.

No serious injuries were immediately reported from the crash.

Officials issued a SigAlert just after 4:15 a.m., closing the 110 Freeway transition lanes from the 10 Freeway.

The lane closure was expected to continue for three to four hours, according to the CHP.
