PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - A fast-moving fire tore through two homes in a southeast Portland neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.

At about 2:40 p.m., multiple crews from Portland Fire & Rescue, along with Clackamas Fire, responded to a fire in the Brentwood-Darlington neighborhood.

There were reports that a home at the corner of Southeast 54th Avenue and Southeast Lambert was on fire, with flames extending into the yard and to a nearby home.

A neighbor told FOX 12 he was inside his home when he looked out the window and saw flames just yards away.

“I mean, I was looking out my front window and I just saw the back of the house on fire,” said Julian Molinsky. “The initial bang, you could kind of hear a bit of a psss and then pop.”
