SALEM, Ore. (KPTV) - A convicted felon was arrested after he led deputies on a high-speed chase in Salem early Tuesday morning, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sept. 23, a deputy tried to stop a driver who fled from a parking lot near Lancaster Drive Northeast. The sheriff’s office says the driver, 32-year-old Thomas Cory Jaeger, fled at speeds over 100 miles per hour, ran multiple red lights, and drove the wrong way on State Street.
Jaeger eventually stop near the 7700 block of State Street Southeast. Deputies safely took Jaeger into custody.
According to the sheriff’s office, a loaded handgun with an extended magazine was found during a search of Jaeger’s car.
