Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is urging that a former GOP lawmaker’s prison sentence be commuted.

Greene, in a post on X on Monday, detailed the conditions that she says disgraced congressman George Santos is experiencing while in solitary confinement. Santos — who began his over seven-year prison term in July after he was sentenced in April — said he was moved to the Special Housing Unit of the FCI Fairton in New Jersey for his “own safety” after he received a death threat in late August, according to one of his posts on X .

He noted that he would remain in the unit for 30 days “at a minimum,” starting Aug. 29, while the FBI investigates the incident.
