ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Two men were arrested weeks after an 18-year-old woman died after being found shot in a crashed car in Orange County, according to deputies.

The shooting happened on Sept. 9 near the intersection of Sand Lake Road and Lillwill Avenue.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Karimar Nicole Rios, who was found with a gunshot wound inside a crashed vehicle, was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

The sheriff’s office on Thursday said Jonathan Martinez, 20, and Joshua Benitez Rodriguez, 21, were arrested on charges of second-degree murder with a firearm and shooting/throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.

No other information was released, including what led to the woman’s death.
