A Canadian man was fatally shot during a golf trip in the United States, according to multiple reports. Giovanni Michael "Mike" Robinson, 32, was killed in a drive-by shooting early Wednesday morning in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. He was reportedly walking back to his hotel with his brother-in-law after a night out with friends.

Robinson had recently become a father, welcoming a baby girl in August. His family shared that he had sent them a photo of his first hole-in-one earlier that day. The shooting occurred around 12:10 a.m. near Monroe and Water Streets, where police found Robinson. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses described Robinson and his friends as friendly patrons at a local bar, the Falls Tap, where they had been playing pool before the incident. A bartender noted that they left just before midnight, and shortly after, she saw a significant police presence as Robinson's friends attempted to assist him.

The Sheboygan Falls Police Department stated, "Despite life-saving measures and immediate medical attention, the victim succumbed to their injury." The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and no arrests have been made. Authorities are searching for a small, dark-colored SUV believed to be involved in the incident.

Residents of Sheboygan Falls, a town of about 8,200 people, expressed shock at the violence. Melody Walls, a local resident, remarked, "Quiet, safe, and friendly. Everybody is friendly. I don’t — I’m shocked, I don’t even know what to say." Another resident, Jill Schuessler, added, "I was pretty shocked. I mean, this is a small little community and we’re all really close, so it just shocked me."

Robinson's family is reportedly traveling to Sheboygan Falls to be with friends and gather more information. His sister-in-law, Jess, shared her grief on social media, stating, "It was my brother-in-law. He’s a Canadian and was there golfing. He was only 32, had just had his first baby in August, and got a hole-in-one that day. This is a nightmare."

The investigation is ongoing, and police have indicated they will release more information as it becomes available.
