WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — Over 1,800 residents of the West Jordan area are without power after a construction accident.

West Jordan City announced Thursday morning that a construction crew hit a line during a road extension project near 8600 West, causing the outage.

Rocky Mountain Power's outage map shows the outage was first reported just after 9 a.m. and is located in an area west of the South Valley Regional Airport.

The outage is estimated to be restored before 12:30 p.m., according to Rocky Mountain Power. Crews are on scene investigating the issue.
