As we enter the Jewish new year, one of the biggest sports stories appears to be heading toward the finish line.

The Cleveland Browns’ controversy over the Ohio Department of Transportation’s attempt to halt the proposed new dome stadium’s construction ended with a whimper. Last week, the ownership group received a permit to construct the $2.4 billion project, and new home of Huntington Bank Field to be located in Brook Park, near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.The political game behind the delay seemed childish. It boggles my mind that there was an issue. In the end, ODOT determined the height of the new stadium would not cause problems with flight plans into Hopkins.
