CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Christmas is right around the corner, and leaders in Cape Girardeau are getting ready for the festivities.

The 33rd Annual Parade of Lights will start at 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 30.

The parade route will begin at the intersection of Broadway and West End Boulevard and continue east down Broadway, turning right onto Main Street and ending at the parking lot across from Hutson’s Big Sandy Furniture.

Old Town Cape announced this year’s Parade of Lights theme in July: A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Organizers encourage spectators to wear their best Charlie Brown attire.

Parade of Lights participants can decorate their entry with lights and have music playing. Along the route, judges will be choosing entries for best theme, best appearance by a business or organ
