As winter approaches, the Missouri Department of Transportation is gearing up—and they need help. Director Ed Hassinger told Missourinet that the biggest push right now is finding extra hands for snow season.
“People that have maybe other jobs that are, you know, don’t work in the winter, maybe for contractors or those kinds of folks,” said Hassinger. We are currently hiring right now all across the state for what we call our supplemental snow help in addition to our team. And then we’re also hiring full time folks for our team.”
Something new this year is flexible work hours, as MoDOT is offering both eight-hour and 12-hour shifts.
Clearing snow from Missouri roads isn’t cheap. Hassinger estimated the state spends mo
