A Wednesday report indicated that quarterback Justin Fields would return to the New York Jets' starting lineup for the upcoming "Monday Night Football" game at the 0-3 Miami Dolphins as long as Fields cleared the NFL's concussion protocol in time for that contest.

On Thursday, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn confirmed that's the case when he revealed that Fields would be participating in non-contact drills while still in the protocol.

"If he's cleared, he's the starter," Glenn said about Fields, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.
