YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - A month of activities continues to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month across the Mahoning Valley.
The recognition started Sept. 15, and Thursday was the opening ceremony. It included flags representing the Hispanic nations.
The opening ceremony is part of a series of programs organized by various Youngstown State University groups and the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.
This month will recognize the accomplishments, achievements and histories of Hispanics and Latinos.
