An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Thursday at 12:49 p.m. for gusty showers until 1:15 p.m. for Ulster County.

Residents may experience wind gusts of up to 50 mph.

"At 12:49 p.m., Doppler radar tracked gusty showers over Grahamsville, or 10 miles east of Liberty, moving northeast at 30 mph," states the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects."

Locations impacted by the alert include Denning, Ladleton, Sholam, Samsonville, Palentown, Riggsville, Peekamoose, Sundown, Yagerville and Bull Run.

The weather service states, "If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building."
