New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields returned to practice on Thursday (September 25) and will start if he clears the NFL's concussion protocol ahead of his team's Monday Night Football game against the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, head coach Aaron Glenn told reporters.
"He still has to go through the whole protocol before he's totally cleared, but I like where he's at," Glenn said via ESPN .
Fields, 26, was permitted to participate in non-contract drills, specifically with the quarterbacks, on Thursday in adherence with concussion protocol. The former Ohio State standout missed last Sunday's (September 14) game after suffering a concussion in Week 2.
"He's in the protocol right now and it's always a hard one to really just try to evaluate until we get more information so I
