Sri Vijaja Puram, Sept 25: Zilla Parishad Member of Baratang, Mr. Alager Swamy, held a detailed discussion on 24 September 2025 with Dr. Jatinder Sohal, Director of Transport & Civil Aviation, on the long-pending transport issues of Baratang.

Dr. Sohal gave positive assurance on several demands, including the addition of more buses and mini-buses to ease both local travel and long-distance connectivity between Baratang and Diglipur.

He also confirmed that the long-awaited helicopter service from Baratang to Sri Vijaya Puram will begin shortly.
