ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A second Metro St. Louis man was sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison Tuesday in connection with a 2023 armed robbery of a mobile barber. The crime garnered the defendants the nickname the “Barber Bandits”.
U.S. District Judge Sarah Pitlyk sentenced 20-year-old Keshaun Smith to 98 months in federal prison. Smith’s co-defendant, Andrew Giles, was sentenced to 105 months earlier this month.
Court documents state the victim, who was a “mobile barber”, went to a house on Garesche Ave. in Jennings on May 8, 2023, to cut Smith’s hair.
