JASONVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — It's that time of year again, high school students are celebrating homecoming around the Wabash Valley, but one local high school will have some participants that graduated 50 years ago.
For the past 10 years, the class of 1975 from Shakamak High School has met to design and build their homecoming float for the upcoming parade.
Judy Reynolds is a class member and the owner of the garage where the construction takes place. She said they started in 2015 and had so much fun; they haven't stopped.
"One guy said to me, we should build a float like we used to in high school", Reynolds said. "The four high school classes build a float every year and they have a competition. He said we should do that like we used to and once we did it, we couldn't quit."
