LEXINGTON, Ky — A new travel trend is growing in popularity thanks to social media. People are flying to another city and returning home hours later. Earlier this month, Matt Wagner, a University of Kentucky student, went viral for his latest day trip to Portland, Maine.

Wagner, 22, is from Pittsburgh, but says he rarely returns to the Steel City. He prefers jam-packed journeys, where he squeezes in as much sightseeing as possible in just a matter of hours.

"It's wherever the wind takes me and the flight is doable," said Wagner.

Wagner vlogged his latest venture, getting more than 28,000 views on TikTok. He said he was craving lobster, so he bought an early morning flight to Maine to eat seafood. He landed around lunchtime, explored the coastline, and flew back to the Bluegrass later th
