SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Bullitt County man was given a 15-year sentence on Wednesday for trafficking meth and fentanyl, according to Shepherdsville Police.

On Wednesday, September 14, Albert Sweet, 58, pleaded guilty to methamphetamine and fentanyl charges.

Sweet will serve 10 years in prison with a 50 percent parole eligibility for trafficking fentanyl and five years in prison with a 20 percent parole eligibility for trafficking methamphetamine. Both sentences will run consecutively.

Investigators say Sweet’s conviction comes from an operation that spanned several months aimed at disrupting the flow of drugs into Bullitt County and surrounding areas.

Sweet had previously been convicted of trafficking methamphetamine and fleeing police in 2024.
