FERGUS FALLS, Minn. — One of Wissota Auto Racing’s final events of the year will also serve as a memorial for a track official killed earlier this month.
The third annual Gopher State Showdown, from Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 9-11, at the I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, will honor Scott Engfer, a track official and board member for Wissota who was struck and killed by a race car Sept. 10.
Chris Stepan of FYE Motorsports said anyone interested in attending will see some of the nation’s top racers.
“There’s a couple different options if people want to sit in the grandstands, everything’s general admission there. We don’t sell reserved seats for the stands. You can just show up on race day whatever time the gates open, and they open at 5 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday,” Stepan
