SEDGWICK -- For over a decade, those in the Blue Hill Peninsula and surrounding communities have turned to one local nonprofit for help accessing existing resources. But now, that local nonprofit is in need of help to continue that mission.

"First and foremost, we are the only service in Hancock county that provides in-home navigation with no box you have to fit in," said Jessica Valdez, Executive Director of Community Compass. A role she has had since 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic.

For around 15 years, Community Compass has been a hub for those who need help finding and navigating existing resources like food security programs, heating assistance, housing assistance, and more.
