Storms are starting to move back into New Mexico Thursday with warmer temperatures. A storm system will bring widespread showers and storms this weekend.
Warmer weather has moved back into New Mexico Thursday afternoon thanks to an area of high pressure developing overhead. However, storms are also moving back into southwest New Mexico this evening. A couple of these storms could drop heavy rainfall through late this evening in southwest parts of the state. The rain will end by Friday morning, but another batch of thunderstorms will develop Friday afternoon. Storms are likely in western and southern New Mexico, with isolated storms in central parts of the state. Again a few storms in southwest New Mexico could drop heavy rain leading to flash flooding.
