ORONO -- The Maine football team is still looking for their first win of the 2025 season.

The Black Bears suffered their fourth-straight loss last Saturday when they traveled down to Georgia Southern to play the Eagles. Despite their winless record, Maine has proved they are a competitive football team.

In each of their four games this season, the Black Bears have held their opponent to within one score until the second half.

Head coach Jordan Stevens says he and his team are ready to prove what kind of team they truly are, and that starts this Saturday when they host North Carolina A&T at Alfond Stadium.

"We've got to prepare, that's step one," said Stevens. "Step two is now that we've got the opportunity, what are we going to do with the opportunity? We've got to execute the plan.
