BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A 31-year-old woman was arrested this week in connection with a shooting that wounded her sister-in-law, according to a court filing.
Elizabeth Oceguera Alcala is being held on $500,000 bail on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a gun, booking records show. She's due in court next week.
Around 4 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to the 8600 block of Fuller Drive and spoke with a woman who said Alcala, her sister-in-law, had shot her, according to the filing. She had a gunshot wound to her right shoulder.
She was taken to Kern Medical.
Alcala was arrested the next day. The gun had not been recovered, according to the filing.
