ERATH, La. (KLFY) -- A mother in Erath is speaking out against racial bullying at Erath High School, claiming her son has been repeatedly harassed and that the school has failed to take adequate action.

Kimberly Melancon, the mother of a student at Erath High School, has expressed frustration over the school's handling of racial bullying incidents involving her son.

Despite her requests for intervention, Melancon feels that the school's response has been insufficient, leading her to seek community support to address the issue.

"I ask for intervention from the school board. None has taken place yet," said Melancon. "I just want somebody to help my son and stop this racism with my children at Erath High School."
