SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. — After a deal with ABC's "Shark Tank" in February, Lectec co-founder Luke St. Armand showcased his latest invention Thursday for students at South Windsor High School, where he graduated seven years ago.
The high school brought St. Amand back for a demonstration and Q&A session for students in the library to showcase a do-it-yourself electric skateboard kit that is now known on a national stage.
“We teach the engineering behind it all while you build it; like how does the battery work, the drive train, and the gears," St. Amand said.
He stressed that the do-it-yourself nature of the Lectec product is what distinguishes it and is likely the reason it made it onto an episode of "Shark Tank."
