ESPN’s College GameDay, broadcasting live from Penn State’s Old Main Lawn on Saturday, announced its guest picker — and it’s a Nittany Lions legend.

Former Penn State linebacker LaVar Arrington will predict college football’s biggest games of the weekend to cap off the show, according to a Thursday release. It will be Arrington’s first appearance in the role.

Penn State and Oregon kick off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on NBC for the White Out in Beaver Stadium.

At Penn State from 1997-1999, Arrington was an All-American and was a ninth-place finisher in Heisman voting in 1999. He also won the Bednarik Award, the Butkus Award and the Lambert Award.
