CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. — Dog-napping. Racism. Sex-altering surgery.

Those were just some of the ingredients that were stirred into a civil lawsuit filed several months ago. It has now resulted in criminal charges against a local veterinarian.

2 On Your Side 's Dave McKinley dug up details on a case where the lawyer for the victim says "outrageous" doesn't even begin to describe what happened.

"It's a wild one, maybe one of the wildest set of facts I've seen," attorney Matt Albert said of a case involving his client, Monica Crogan, whose mini-Yorkie, Benji, was taken last summer from her property on Walmore Road in Sanborn, allegedly by someone she knew, Tyler Fabian.
