NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The recent arrest of a Niagara Falls man, facing federal charges of "tampering with a track switch in a railyard" is sparking concern from a railroad workers union official here in Western New York.

Federal prosecutors and the FBI released still shots from surveillance camera video, which they say shows 66-year-old Charles Wilson trespassing in the CSX Niagara Railyard just off 29th Street in Niagara Falls. They say it was an alleged attempt by him to disable a railroad switch in a way that could have caused a derailment or otherwise damage railroad equipment.

Federal officials also point out that railyard is used for rail tank cars like these with hazardous loads like sulfuric acid, chlorine, and bleach.
