SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Minnesota Duluth junior goaltender Eve Gascon made 33 saves and her Bulldogs only needed a mere 27 seconds to score Thursday in a 4-0 nonconference road victory at Syracuse.

It was sophomore center Caitlin Kraemer who gave UMD (3-0) the quick lead as she finished with a goal and an assist, bringing her three-game scoring total to three goals and two assists.

Sophomore wing Josie St. Martin, senior center Thea Johansson and freshman wing Rae Mayer all picked up their second goals of the season after scoring last week at Mercyhurst.

Johansson, a transfer from Mercyhurst, and Mayer scored on power plays in the second and third periods, respectively, while St. Martin scored coming out of the penalty box five-plus minutes into the third period.
