In a major operation, the Rajasthan CID Intelligence arrested one Hanif Khan from Jaisalmer for allegedly spying on the Army.
He was allegedly lured using money and is accused of passing confidential information to the ISI, Pakistan’s intelligence agency.
Inspector General of Police, CID (Security), Vishnukant, said that CID Intelligence had been monitoring espionage activities in the state and found Khan to have been in constant contact with ISI handlers via social media. Khan is from Jaisalmer’s Basanpir Juni, under the jurisdiction of Sadar police station, and was living at Bahal village.
