The Odisha government’s Department of Odia Language, Literature, and Culture has made the decision to erect and place statues of 75 distinguished individuals throughout the state in remembrance of leaders, authors, social reformers, freedom fighters, and other noteworthy individuals at the direction of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The project is expected to be finished by the end of next year, and the government has allotted about ₹14 crore for it.

The statues will be installed in the following districts:

Puri: Bhakta Manehi Sahu, Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Khordha: Biswanath Das, poet Sacchidananda Rautray, Kuntala Kumari Sabat, Veer Surendra Sai, Padmashree Upendra Maharathi, Veer Sido Murmu, Kahnu Murmu, Rabi Ray, Binayak Acharya, Surendra Mohanty, Radhanath Rath, Lal Bahadur Sha
